Lately...

Arizona state fair!! I used to see pictures of this fair all the time and I always wanted to go and one Saturday we got the chance. It's two bucks before 2. If you get the chance, you should go. There are a bunch of cute animals, rides, fabulously fattening fair food, concerts and a reptile show!! I touched a giant snake! It was cool (temperature-wise) and not slimy.

 "What are you looking at?"

"No, really..is there something on my face?"

I feel like this bunny might have had a little too much to eat..

This one's just a pile of fluff! Adorable!!

Big boy! He might be as big as my cat..

Oh, you know, just hanging out

 So many Betsys!

I hated the way they were chained up. Many of them had rings through their noses and couldn't move more than a few inches. It was a bit sad.

Chase shares her drink with strangers! Tee hee!

This guy was an animatronic dino! He would shake his head and roar.

 Buds.

The concorda ladies are tough cookies.

We didn't go on any rides but if we had, this one would've been on my list.

 Oh look, a tractor!

 More cute goats!

The little ones were just so cute! I wish I could take one home. Imagine never having to cut your grass again or waste food scraps!

A couple days after the fair, we went up to Prescott and visited a pumpkin patch! They also had a bunch of cute animals. The had a relatively large pumpkin patch and those super fun inflatable bounce houses. I went in one. It was a blast.
I want a cow! When I grow up, I want to live on a property that has enough land for me to be able to have a few animals on it. Cows especially. I'd give them the best life ever. They'd be able to roam on acres of grassy land and drink fresh water and have a warm hay bed whenever they were ready to go to sleep. I love animals.

I posted a picture similar to this one on my instagram and made a comment about the Great Pumpkin. I think when it comes to holiday kid movies, Charlie Brown and the Great Pumpkin might be up there on my favorites list.

Now for the random pictures...
YC's Mongolian Grill...So much food!! There was a guy in front of me that had double what I was able to get. He was also twice my height and probably three times my weight..I was still impressed. The much food lasted me for about a week, before I had to throw the remainder out. It was twelve bucks! Talk about a steal! I know where I'll be going if I'm ever strapped for cash.

I've said it a million times already, but I'll say it a million more: Arizona's sunsets are beautiful!!

One saturday, we took a mini skatepark tour. We went to Goodyear, Desert West and Pecos. By the time we actually got to Pecos at night we were exhausted. Sean especially. This is him right after Desert West.

I carved my first pumpkin ever this year! (A couple days ago we had to throw them out because they got moldy and bug infested.) We saved the seeds after we carved them and Chase roasted them. I have no clue what seasoning Chase used but they tasted heavenly!

Lucas broke his wrist and had to get surgery. I took him to the hospital and after surgery he was so loopy! He cracked anti-jokes and had the nurses in stitches. Ha! Get it?! stitches! Surgery!

Waiting for your turn in the o.r. can be tough. Good thing they provide hairnets.

I got to go to Sedona again a few days ago. It was so much fun. It was a boys and Lolo trip. I grew up hanging out with boys but lately, especially since moving to Arizona, I've been spending way more time with girls. It's not a bad thing. And don't get me wrong, I love my roommates and hanging out with them, but it's nice to be able to hang out with guys and skate, get dirty, sweaty, not worry about how you look, talk about different things...I don't know, it's different and for sure something I was missing.

 "Is this cool?"

 Sedona is always pretty.

I'm growing sunflowers in the backyard! If you look closely, you can see the little bee that was pollinating it.

I went to the wedge the other day with Patrick and Sam. We got to skate under the bridge for a good two hours before it got too dark to see.

The next morning, I met up with Sam and Patrick again. This time we went to Tempe park and Patrick shot this of me. My goal, once my knee is better, is to hit the coping. I think this might have been the first day I even tried to carve this part of the bowl.

Popeye loves books! So much so that he fell asleep while I was reading to him.

Laila had birthday this week!! We all went to Cornish in honor of the big day. Laila is now 25 but doesn't look a day over 18! If you ever get the chance to go, you must try the Veggie Mexican pasty! Its so good. A little spicy from the chiles, but dip it in the salsa and you get a nice cool relief that just sets you up for the next bite. So delicious!

So, I hurt my knee again..on Tuesday, at Pecos, right before Laila's birthday dinner, to be exact. I was airing a hip (GOT OVER COPING!!!) and when I went to kick turn on another wall, I hit the coping, tried to run out and pop went my knee. It sucked. I yelled. And fell. And that was that. So I've been icing and riding my bike, trying to eat a little cleaner and taking pain meds (especially to sleep). I'm hoping that it's just like all the recent injuries and that within a few weeks I'll be back on my board. Right now it's tight and swollen and kinda stinks to walk or be on my feet at work. It'll get better though.

Tonight I had pizza with friends. I know I said I was eating cleaner but I haven't had pizza in a while. It's funny, too. I work at Venezia's, yet I eat there much less than when I didn't. Also, Chrissie was a mime at work today. She doesn't do her make up like that too often.
