Today is a beautiful day! I actually got sleep last night. I didn't have to listen to music to sleep. I just slept for a long time...longer than usual. I got home around 2 am and went straight to bed. I woke up at six to feed my cat and went back to bed til 9:30. I woke up (not tired), got ready for work, ate a delicious breakfast with all the food I got yesterday and still had time for a bike ride. I feel like my life is finally getting back to normal.

Blog Moved.
Maybe. I don't know yet. Maybe I'll do two blogs? Who knows? Who cares?!

Goals for next week
1. Find another skatepark. Vans is awesome. The people that work there and skate there are super cool. But...I don't want to pay seven bucks everytime I go skate. Or wear a helmet.
2. Sleep at least 7 hours a night. I'm sleep deprived. I'm physically and mentally exhausted.
3. Ride my bike everyday for at least an hour. Having a car again is going to make it really hard to want to. Why ride a bike when you can just drive and get to where you want to go ten times faster? Excercise. Duh.
4. Eat heatlhier. More fruits and veggies. Less smoothies and ice cream.
5. Start reading a book.

Sometimes there's days were I get home so rediculously exhausted that I just plop myself down on my bed and fall asleep. Sometimes I don't even fall asleep. I just lay there, too lazy to get up, even though I know I should get ready for bed. Even though I'm all sweaty from skating. Even though I need to shut the light off. Even though I need to do a whole bunch of stuff before I can actually go to bed.
Today is one of those days.

Noah and the Whale - Shape of My Heart

until you know how it feels to die.

I want the fairytale.
I watched Pretty Woman today. I cried and laughed. It was really good. It was good enough to say that it is my new favorite movie.

I woke up super happy this morning. I had super good dreams. Maybe it has something to do with the song I had on repeat all night.

Busy day ahead
I have so much stuff to do today. I know I'll be exhausted before my day is even half over. I'll be waking up at 8-ish, after most likely not that many hours of sleep becasue I'm a total insomniac. Not really. I just stay up really late...or really early. Whichever.
1. I'm finally getting insurance for my car!! Totally excited for that. Once I have insurance, I can get my car registered.
2. I'm getting my car registered. Long lines at the DMV, here I come. I'll be driving by the weekend. Finally have my own set of 4 wheels again. It's about time! I had two wheels for a while. Two wheels are awesome if you want to do exercise, but arent very functional when your job is about half an hour away.
3. Calling Utah State for my transcripts. I'm not really looking foward to starting school. Kinda dreading it actually. I dread the thought of having to go home after a day of work and school to sit at a desk and do homework. Skating is definetly going to suffer. I skate maybe twice a week (if I'm lucky) and all I do is work. Imagine adding school to that. Yeah...total bummer. Not really my idea of a great spring. It'll pay off someday. Hopefully at least.
4. Then I'm off to work for five hours. Joy. Serving ice cream and making smoothies. Its not a bad job, sometimes it just goes by a little slow. I get paid tomorrow though. Definetly something to look foward to.
5. I'm getting a haircut. Finally. Just a trim though. My hair's been kinda lame lately. Too many split ends.
Why? Stupid highlights, that's why. Everytime I decide to get highlights, I end up getting split ends. When will I learn?
6. Bank. Need to deposit that first paycheck so I don't spend it, even though technically it's already more than gone. I need to pay my car and get gas. I don't know how much I'll get paid, but I'm hoping it's alot. I need money. I have to pay my car, gas, skate sessions at Vans, cell phone payment, saving for my Arizona trip, saving for school, car insurance. So many responsibilities make me wish I was still a kid.
7. Bike ride. Maybe. Maybe not. I don't think I'll get home in time to go. I hope I do. I haven't been on a bike ride for almost a week. I miss it. I like just putting my headphones in my ears and just going. Wherever. No plans necessary.
8. Cooking dinner. I think I'm making sushi. I don't know yet. I'll figure that out tomorrow.
I have a day off Saturday. Thank goodness.

I love food
Anyone that knows me, knows I love food. I love it. I don't know what else to say. I love it. I love eating it, I love making it, I love watching people make it. I love a nice warm bowl of pasta with delicious, creamy alfredo sauce. I love pizza. I love sushi. I love seafood. I love pastries! I love mangos. I love sweet potatoes. I just love food! Theres not much I don't like. Today I went to Whole Foods and got so much amazing food! If I could eat it all today, I probably would. I won't though. I have control. I can't wait to eat it though.
The best place ever.
The picture kinda sucks..I know.

I gripped my first board ever today. It's no big deal. People do it everyday and don't think much about it, but I was pretty excited!

Baby Alex
This is Alex Midler. He doesn't like wearing elbow pads. He's super nice, funny, and rediculously good at skating.
I may be a little short
Vidhya: I need you to go to Nestle and pick up bananas and spoons.
Me: Okay. Sure.
Me: Hi, Vidhya sent me over to pick up some bananas and a box of spoons.
Guy: Oh okay. Do you have the cart?
Me: Uhh, no. Should I have brought one?
Guy: Yeah. I thought you were going to bring it. It's not that much, but I don't think you'll be able to carry it back. Hold on. Let me call...
Lady: Just give it to her.
Guy: But..she's just a little girl! (Looks over at me and then back at the other lady.) Fine. Come over to this side. I'm going to put these in a bag. They'll be heavy. And here's the box of spoons.
He gave me 4 banana bunches and a box of plastic spoons that weighed less than two pounds. Oh how you underestimate me.

Destroyed in 10 seconds
I had pizza at this one pizza place by Vans today. I'd eaten there before and only once ordered something to drink because everything there is so expensive. One slice of pizza ends up being a little less than five bucks with tax. I figure why pay for a drink when you can get free water out of a water fountain? I order my slice of pineapple pizza and start eating it, when the lady asks me if I would like a cup of ice water. I obviously go ahead and say yeah. Free water with free ice...Why not?
She tells me not to say anything and I figure she's not allowed to give out free water. I start drinking it and it turns out it's sprite! I was pretty bummed. I'd gone a month without touching soda and in ten seconds my soda-less streak was ruined.
It's not like I crave soda or anything either. It's not even like i'm trying to not drink it, I just usually don't. I'm used to cutting soda out in the fall and winter months because of wrestling. I don't wrestle anymore but after doing something for five years, it's easier to just keep doing it. Plus it's healthier to not drink soda. Today I was just expecting water. I felt like a little kid that had been tricked into eating vegetables.

Comes The Dawn
After a while you learn the subtle difference
Between holding a hand and chaining a soul,
And you learn that love doesn’t mean leaning
And company doesn’t mean security,
And you begin to learn that kisses aren’t contracts
And presents aren’t promises,
And you begin to accept your defeats
With your head up and your eyes open
With the grace of a woman, not the grief of a child,
And you learn to build all your roads on today,
Because tomorrow’s ground is too uncertain for plans,
And futures have a way of falling down in mid-flight.
After a while you learn
That even sunshine burns if you get too much.
So you plant your own garden and decorate your own soul,
Instead of waiting for someone to bring you flowers.
And you learn that you really can endure...
That you really are strong,
And you really do have worth.
And you learn and learn...
With every goodbye you learn.

Today at work
(Two guys that work at Mitsubishi walk up and ask for their daily smoothies.)
Dude: So how long have you been married?
Me: Oh, I'm not married.
Dude: Oh. Really? Well I saw the rings and I thought...
Me: Haha. Nope. I usually wear a ring on my other hand so I have to wear these on this hand.
Dude: It's to keep us away, isn't it?
Me: Haha nah.

Mani Moto!!
After getting pizza and exploring Main Street on my bike, I stopped by a Colombian store. I saw one of my favorite snacks in there. Mani moto! Whenever family and friends would visit Colombia they would always bring these back. They're so good.

Who's a smart cookie?
I was about to reach for one of these before bed:
But instead I ate a mandarin orange and plum. Good Lorena.
Kewt hair
The guy at the mall likes messing with my hair, even after I tell him about 20 times that I don't have money to buy a straightener.

Already kinda sorta dreading going to work and it's only my fourth day. No Bueno.
Long but good
I took a bike ride yesterday. I kinda mapped out my route but ended up getting kinda lost. Not really, I just took a whole bunch of roads I wasn't supposed to take. It was supposed to take me about 16 minutes, three miles to get there according to google maps, but ended up taking me around 40 minutes and six miles there. My destination? Al's Pizza. Super duper good, delicious, scrumptious, mouth watering New York style pizza. It's my favorite pizza place. It's just so good! I wouldn't mind riding for hours to get there. On the way back I took a shorter way. I'm a fast learner.

This is the route I was supposed to take.

This is kinda the route I ended up taking. I'm dumb. Or just scared of trying to dodge cars on busy roads. I don't know. Maybe both.

Before I left on my bike ride, I knew there was a possibility I would be walking my bike back. The gears don't work. My tires were semi flat. One of my brakes doesn't work and the other one doesn't do much to slow me down. This bike also has a loose, rusted chain which slips when I try to go fast all of a sudden.
Knowing that my bike has all these problems, I try to go across some busy street really fast. My chain slipped. I can't touch the ground with both feet when I'm on this bike. One foot on the ground : good. Two feet : prepare to be in pain. When the chain slipped, my feet came off the pedals. I didn't land on the seat. Lets just say I saw stars...
My ride.
The good thing about riding a bike or walking, is that you get to see stuff you wouldn't even notice riding in a car.
This poor little guy never saw the car coming. He was dead in the road.
When I finally got to Al's, I was starving! I decided to get the special: 2 slices of cheese pizza and a drink for $2.99 plus tax. I got pepperoni so it ended up being like 4 something. I had never gotten pizza by the slice here, but I did get a large pie once to take home. I was thinking the individual slices were going to be about the same size as the slices in the pie. Wrong!
Ginourmous slices!! I was pretty stoked.
The slices are sooo big!
I felt bad leaving the crust, but I was extraordinarily full. It was insane. I was dreading the ride back home.
Not nice.
On the way back, I bought my first Florida lottery ticket.
